Art Club

Group A

ONLY choose group A or B - do not sign your student up for both sessions

WHO: Art Club is available to all 6th grade students. Each session is limited to 25 students.
WHEN: Sessions meet every other Thursday from 2:20 - 3:40pm. An after school activity bus will be available IF you select that option when registering for the club. Car riders should be picked up promptly at 3:40pm.

Terms: I hereby authorize and consent, to School District 33C, on my behalf and in my stead, to administer emergency medical treatment to my child while participating in the above named supervised school activity.  This permission and consent extends to the right of School District 33C, its employees and agents, to arrange for immediate medical treatment by a licensed or certified physician and or other medical personnel, and for them to apply such emergency techniques, which, in their judgement, they deem appropriate, or to treat any injury sustained by my child. In addition, I acknowledge & consent that Homer CCSD 33C, its employees & agents shall not be liable of having made a decision to authorize the administration of emergency medical treatment to my child.

Technology Club

***Fall Session***

Our aim is to educate students with hands-on activities utilizing technology, building and design.  

Through our club students will gain knowledge about technology while developing teamwork skills in a fun, relaxed setting.

Cost:  $10

Time:  2:20 - 3:40pm  An after school activity bus will be available IF you select it when you register.  All car-riders must be picked up promptly at 3:40pm

HJH SCIENCE CLUB 2024-2025

7th & 8th Grade

Students will participate in experiments and science activities. 

We will meet on Mondays, from 2:20 until 3:40 p.m., in Rooms 122 and 125

Maximum number of students: 30

Students who did not sign up for the Activity Bus during registration must be picked up at 3:40 p.m. at Homer Junior High’s front entrance.

HJH Cooking Club - Session #1

Homer Junior High 7th & 8th Grade Students!

Do you enjoy cooking? Please join Cooking Club and give your taste buds a sensational experience. Cooking club will be divided into two sessions, each with six meeting dates. Seventh and eighth-grade students should select just ONE session for registration (each session is repeated).

Food allergy/food restrictions: Please include any food allergies or restrictions. The nurse is not available during cooking club. Therefore, any medications would need to be obtained from the nurse before cooking club.

COST: $25

7th & 8th grade students

Are you crafty?  Do you love hand-making your own unique projects?

What:  Focusing on macrame and candle -making the first three sessions, then resin and painting the second three sessions

Where: Room #140

When:  Thursdays from 2:20-3:40pm - An after school activity bus will be available IF you select it when you register your student.

Dates:  Oct 24th, Nov 7th and 14th,  Jan 23rd and 30th, Feb 6th

Homer Junior High

Industrial Arts Club

8th Grade only

Do you like hand-making your own unique projects? Industrial Arts club projects vary by the interest of our group. At our first club meeting, we will discuss project ideas together. Some crafts done in the past were bean bag toss games and CO2 cars, walking sticks that have built-in whistles, Da Vinci Bridges (bridges Leonardo Da Vinci invented that you can easily carry in pieces), or sun dials.
